nice job the metal finishing looked great. most would have used a gallon of bondo doesn't look like you had to use much of it.

Agreed. This is what "straightening" work should look like. The metal is physically straight, not just made to look that way with tons of plastic.

A picture of how much filler was used should be used next time. Not enough info leads to false impressions.

Why? Are you doubting the ability that someone is not talented enough to straighten a panel with little or no filler?

You can tell from the photo of the roughed out panel that rocket didn't have to load up that panel in the least.

You feel mislead because he didn't snap a picture showing every detail? The bed side wasn't that bad to begin with.

Did I imply differently? "load up" is what I said......didn't say he didn't have to use any.

Rocket has less filler in his screen name than you do....that I know. Laughing

The human brain is indeed a strange piece of equipment....

I see it time and time again on this site in particular

The abilty to type a reply .......... without thinking about what is being typed....

red rag to a bull senario springs to mind.

Bondobendr that means you

http://www.poyntsource.com/IOTAmanual/Preview_files/Pointing_Finger.jpg

The response was clear from T that little filler was used opposed to to a large deep application.

And one glance at the repaired metal work should tell any expeirenced tech that that panel is well repaired and very straight looking.

I dont usually get involved in he said she said pointless bickering on here, but i am afraid you took the biscuit.

Why is it when you ask someone a question to clarify their thinking, they automatically go to the defensive? I was just curious and hoping you would point something out that I or someone else maybe missing. Jeez Neutral

With the flimsy bumpers that GM have, this is going to be a pretty common repair.

I'm curious how much time was written for repair to the panel.

Thanks,
Gordon

I agree that the damage wasn't that bad to begin with and if someone couldn't straighten that panel without any filler needs to be looking for another profession.
